North County Dental Composites to Repair Broken Front Teeth | This particular patient chipped his front teeth in an accident at work. Preparation was completed by roughening the outermost (enamel) layer of the tooth with a dental bur. After, a bonding mechanism was used in which we layered composites to achieve a strong, natural look to the dental restoration. No anesthesia was necessary when preparing this tooth since the fracture was not in close proximity to the nerve of the tooth.
